Nucleic Acid & Protein in the Microplate Format

چکیده
The quantitation of nucleic acids and protein are measurements common to many applications in basic science and clinical research. Several different assays for either total protein or nucleic acids that can be performed in microplates are described. In addition, the fundamental differences between conventional tube-based instrumentation and microplate readers and how these differences relate to the assays are also discussed.

Adhesive microarrays for multipurpose diagnostic tools.
We are reporting here a new technology for the straightforward production of integrated microarrays. The approach is based on the use of adhesive supports enabling (i) the immobilization of biomolecules as microarrays (up to 2500 spots per cm(2)) and (ii) the easy assembly of these microarrays with complex 3D structures such as 96-well bottomless microplates or polymer and glass microfluidic ne...
متن کاملCellular Morphology and Immunologic Properties of Escherichia coli Treated With Antimicrobial Antisense Peptide Nucleic Acid
Background & Objectives: Antisense peptide nucleic acids (PNA) that target growth essential genes show potent bactericidal properties without cell lysis. We considered the possibility that whether PNA treatment influence the bacteria total nucleic acids content and apply approach to develop a new delivery system to Dendritic cells (DCs). DCs are the most potent antigen presenting cells in th...
متن کاملA Novel Genetic classification of SARS coronavirus-2 following whole nucleic acid and protein alignment of the isolated viruses
Background and aims: The end of 2019 has marked the year, which the human population encountered a novel virus; SARS-CoV-2 that causes a disease namely COVID-19. Here we focused on the genome and protein mutations and subsequently suggested a new classification of the SARS-CoV-2. Materials and Methods: Our study showed that some extra positions in the virus genome play a key role in the SARS-C...
متن کاملNonisotopic hybridization assay for determination of relative amounts of genotypic human immunodeficiency virus type 1 zidovudine resistance.
A nonisotopic hybridization assay for human immunodeficiency virus genotypic zidovudine resistance determination is described. Biotinylated PCR product was hybridized with enzyme-labeled probes for wild-type or resistant mutant sequences and detected colorimetrically or chemiluminescently in a microplate format. Changes in mutant-to-wild-type ratios allow for the monitoring of longitudinal pati...
